About Us
This is the story of the original Nothing Personal band. We have been enjoing each others company nearly a decade laughing, drinking, crying, sleeping, making music.... (just get any of those -ing ending words you want and its a match) Lots and lots have done and more and more to come. Here is some thoughts about us.
Early stages (2004)
Well I'll skip the early years of the band, cause we've started around 2001 to be exact, but there is "nothing" to report from times back then. So going on, here is the grain silo which served us couple full years as training camp. summers was burning hot and winters it got even more cold than the out side did. Single round-shape room with sheet metal in walls, truly a nice sound indeed :) in autumn 2005 the silo was demolished and we left once again totally without training facilites..
Bad luck boys (2006)
Half a year later we managed to obtain new premises at the basement of domestic appliance store. At evenings of the summer we rocked really loud and hard, until one rainy sunday evening in autumn there were the biggest and darkest suprise waiting us.. 40centmetres of water on the floor all the band instruments, amplifiers, drums, cords, furniture, keke's moldy kebab and even our porn magazines were ruined!
Bigger than phonebooth (2008)
After a long struggle with ourselves and the insurance company things were looking little bit brighter day by day. We managed get some money for new instruments &PA systems and we put some more money in and bought top quality like Peavy, Pearl, Shure and Fernandes. We still were without the training space and instruments was stuffed in scaffolds. Few times in summer we trained next to fridges, plasma-tv's and washing machines in the warehouse, but nothing more... Next training facilities came in january. old TV-factory in turku, which we shared with paintball wholesale and rental company.
Today. Tomorrow. (2009)
Today we're having a summer break. nothing more to report on that :)
